The lady who faked her kidnapping on Twitter turns around

A Twitter user identified as Ameerah Sufyan, with the username @Ameerah_sufyan, who sounded the alarm on the microblogging platform a few weeks ago about the kidnapping of herself and sixteen others by unknown gunmen, apologized, saying it was a false alarm.

Recall that Ameerah in a post on Tuesday afternoon revealed that gunmen dressed in police uniforms singled her out and a few others including three pregnant women and two children from their homes in Abuja.

She said they had not seen her phone, which allowed her to send the message asking for the intervention and rescue of their captors.

Please whoever has my whatsapp number i sent a broadcast message from my location. We were abducted at gunpoint by [people] with police uniforms and a van from our homes in different parts of Abuja. We are 17 including 3 pregnant women and two small children. They didn’t see my phone,’ she wrote.

She gave an update on their captors, saying they were four Yoruba men and two Fulani men.

“They are 4 Yoruba and two Fulani men. They separated us an hour ago, we are 7 here. The other vehicle, they said they will reach illorin and ours will reach ibadan or ikeja as they have said.”

However, days after the incident, Ameerah via her Twitter handle on Monday refuted the reports, apologizing to the general public for raising such alarm.

She added that nothing like that happened because it was just her negative thinking.

“Hi everyone, I would like to officially apologize to the general public, the entire police department, my friends and family for misleading them with the tweet below, nothing like this happened and it was only my delusions and my negative thoughts, I would also like to thank

“I purposely walked out of our house, went to these places, walked into the bushes and got dehydrated and starved for four days just like that, there was no abduction , nothing at all, I really apologize and pray for me please”

She also begged the public to pray for her while thanking the IG for helping her.

“I would like to thank IG and CP babaji Sunday for getting me through this, may God reward them abundantly.”
