Nafeesah Allen, Ph.D., is a multilingual author and freelance writer who writes on topics such as personal finance, real estate investing, multicultural communications. She contributes to various national publications, such as Real Simple, Forbes, etc.
In addition to her freelance work, she is a freelance researcher and content strategist. In this role, she works with founders and startups to deliver messaging and brand marketing strategies that meet the needs of the target audience. She has over fifteen years of experience in government communications, writing, crisis response and team building on four continents.
Nafeesh is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese and works in all of these language groups for clients and research. She has published numerous book chapters, articles and a self-published bilingual children’s book.
Nafeesah has a doctorate. in forced migration from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) in Johannesburg, South Africa; A postgraduate degree in Folk and Cultural Studies at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in New Delhi, India; A master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University; A BA from Barnard College at Columbia University
