Event Notice: Akron’s New Original Urban League Documentary Premieres December 15
Akron, OH, December 9, 2021 – The Akron Urban League is delighted to announce the original documentary film, SHOP TALK. It features candid conversations from local community thought leaders and hair salon owners from Legends & Distinguished Gents Tonsorial. This film presents a real-life snapshot of local men and women as they share their perspectives on COVID-19, vaccinations and more.
The exclusive premiere of SHOP TALK will take place on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 6:00 PM at the Akron Art Museum, 1 S High St, Akron, OH 44308. To attend, free tickets are available while supplies last. Register here to get yours. Free media passes are provided to film journalists, critics and bloggers. The film can also be seen on the Akron Urban League YouTube channel after the premiere.
At the premiere, expect a cocktail with appetizers and swag at 6 p.m., the documentary at 7 p.m. and a post-film community chat at 8 p.m.
